Often we say, do not judge a book by its cover. But how often do we really walk the talk?
I must admit, what I saw really blew me away. I thought it was going to be something ”wierd” since my roommate asked me to go watch it out of the blue.
Let the following video serve as a reminder.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY
You can skip the first 30s or so if you wish.

I won’t wanna make this blog a tech-blog but I tell you this is the best thing that the LTA has done recently (exaggeration)!
Meet PublicTransport@SG. The site tops any other online map service available (except streetdirectory.com which wins on how good the map looks). The interactive bus guides are superb, and the loading is fast.
GO GIVE IT A TRY. There’s no more excuse for not going for cell group because you can’t find the way (okay bad attempt at a joke, my bad).

Reality Dictionary April 20, 2008

I just bought a dictionary which gives more than the definition. It sets the facts straight as well.
Boss: Someone who is early when you are late and late when you are early.
Doctor: A person who kills your ills by pills, and kills you by bills.
Etc: A word to make others believe that you know more than you actually do.
Lecture: An art of transferring information from the notes of the lecturer to the notes of the students without passing through the minds of either.
Life Insurance: A contract that keeps you poor all your life so that you can die rich.
Marriage: An agreement in which a man loses his bachelor degree and a woman gains her masters.
Nurse: A person who wakes you up to give you sleeping pills.
Politician: One who shakes your hand before elections and your confidence after.
School: A place where papa pays and son plays.
Tears: The hydraulic force by which masculine willpower is defeated by feminine waterpower.
Let me end with this …
Smile: A curve that can set a lot of things straight.
Alright, get back to work … why are you reading the blog???

Well well, the gospel in comic form. Now I am just waiting for a pop-up book version of the gospel. Interestingly, I did learn quite a few things reading the comic.
One, was that Jesus was in fact defining a new family relationship, one created by mutual faith in the Lord when he said the seemingly harsh words “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers? The person who does the will of my Father in heaven, that person is my brother, my sister, my mother.”
Two, was that the thirty silver coins for Judas’ betrayal was normally money intended for the purchase of sacrificial animals. In this case, it was literally payment for the sacrifical lamb of God.
Three, in the time of Jesus, High Priests are apparently more higher ranked than Chief Priests. Annas and Caiaphas are either both High Priests then, or one could be the “Senior Minister” while the other acts as the “Prime Minister” in the priesthood order.
The literal title of the books sounds a bit funny though – Comic Savior?

These are photos from the first cluster 48 no-agenda outing that Rennie organized. We met at this very nice place called Graze at 4 Rochester Park. Here are the photos we took of this lovely dessert platter we had and ourselves. Will leave the details to Rennie.
Thanks Rennie for organizing! Quick! call Rennie now to book a space for yourself in his next outing!

Things are quite quiet around here …
Ok, I am running an Experiment. Why? For 3 reasons. One, to see how many people visits the blog. Two, for fun. Three, I am curious to know.
The experiment is this. Please answer in the “Comments” section, how you came to know Christ?
Is it because:
1. Testimony: Someone shared his personal testimony and you were touched? (1 John 1:3)
2. Intellectual: Someone presented some logical and intellectual (e.g. apologetics) argument about Christianity? (2 Cor 10:5)
3. Interpersonal: Someone who had some influence in your life was a Christian and you truly believed that he had some good reasons for trusting in Jesus and you believed anyway or eventually? (1 Cor 9:22)
4. Invitational: Someone invited you to a church/cell event and you received Christ then? (Luke 14:23)
5. Confrontational: Someone approached you on the street, for instance, Street Evangelism etc, and you received Christ then? (2 Tim 4:2)
6. Service: Someone gave you an act of kindness, you wondered why and eventually you came to know Christ? (Matt 5:16)
Right, I understand there could be a combination of reasons. However, pick the best reason(s) and indicate not more than 3 please. Just type the key words (which I have highlighted in bold). Don’t bother with your name. This is an experiment and your name is, in this instance, irrelevant.
(Note that the moderator needs to “clear” your comments first. Therefore your comments won’t be posted real time.)
Update #1:
